The Soundscape Festival 2010 - a huge success!
Organisers, staff and patrons of The Soundscape Festival 2010 have hailed the event a resounding success. Almost 6,000 people enjoyed the biggest lineup to ever grace Hobart's shores and the most elaborate lighting and stage setup ever set up in Tasmania.
Perfect weather combined with the usual awesome location to provide an atmosphere and event that will be fondly remembered for years to come by thousands of festival-goers.
Organisers were surprised by an uprecedented demand for tickets, and are confident they will need to expand the 2011 festival to accommodate rapidly growing demand.
Empire of the Sun has just been nominated twice at the Brit Awards, for International Album of the Year and International Breakthrough Act of the Year.
The Soundscape Festival's benefactors, The Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal, will undoubtedly make good use of over $6,000 donated by festival organisers.
All in all, Soundscape 2010 was a resounding success, and of course it wouldn't have been possible without our sponsors and the army of staff and volunteers that made it happen, and of course the huge crowd of festival-goers that supported us this year.
