The location

Only a few blocks from the heart of the city, The Domain Regatta Grounds, Hobart is the waterfront location for The Soundscape Festival...it doesn't get anymore central than that folks. Throw in 180 degree water views and Mt Wellington as a backdrop and the scene is set for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Getting there & away

The Domain Regatta Grounds is located along the Eastern side of the Tasman Highway and Liverpool Street junction, only a few blocks East of Hobart's CBD area. Vehicular access to the Regatta Grounds will be restricted to event staff, artists and contractors only. All patrons will need to park on the city side of the Tasman Highway - details of recommended parking areas will be posted on the Soundscape Festival website leading up to the event. Metro busses will be running on the day of the festival and details regarding timetables for the 26th of January 2008 can be found at www.metrotas.com.au. The Soundscape Festival is a fully licensed event and we strongly advise any patrons planning on enjoying a few drinks to make use of public transport for both their safety and others. Furthermore, there will be a strong Police presence at and around the event, so if you drink drive you will get caught! At the conclusion of the event chartered busses will be on route to all major centres in and around Hobart.

What to bring

Traditionally January and February are the hottest months of the Tasmanian calendar so we advise all festival goers to slip, slop and slap. The Soundscape Festival is an 18+ licensed event so to avoid any hassles at the gate please bring along some photo ID. An array of fine Tassie food will available for purchase at the event, however please feel free to bring along snacks and a picnic rug if you wish. Most importantly, bring good vibes, love and respect!
