| General information:
The Location
Only a few blocks from the heart of the city, The Hobart Regatta Grounds, Hobart is the waterfront location for The Soundscape Festival...it doesn't get anymore central than that folks. Throw in 180 degree water views and Mt Wellington as a backdrop and the scene is set for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.
The Stages
Located at the northern end of the Hobart Regatta Grounds, the Main stage is perfectly positioned at the bottom of the gently sloping grassy parklands, providing every patron with an excellent vantage point. Keeping the live music action flowing seamlessly throughout the day, the Derwent Stage offers panaoramic river views for when you're not looking at the bands!

The Soundscape bar is conveniently located meaning you're never to far from the action even when ordering an icy beverage. The monster bar means you can rely on getting your drinks fast from one of the many friendly bar staff. There will be plenty of icy beer, as well as a fine selection of spirits, wines, soft drinks and water. (The Soundscape Bar will be open between 1:30pm - 10:30pm).

Ample catering for all tastes will be available on site. The food court offers a wide range of choices including fast food, wood fired pizza, roasted meats, asian cuisine, quality coffee and ice cream.
Getting there & away
The Hobart Regatta Grounds are located along the Eastern side of the Tasman Highway and Liverpool Street junction, only a few blocks East of Hobart's CBD area. Vehicular access to the Regatta Grounds will be restricted to event staff, artists and contractors only. We have an arrangement with Hobart City Council to keep the Argyle street carpark open until 12:30am. Metro buses will be running on the day of the festival and details regarding timetables for the 9th of January 2010 can be found at Metro Tas. The Soundscape Festival is a fully licensed event and we strongly advise any patrons planning on enjoying a few drinks to make use of public transport for both their safety and others. Furthermore, there will be a strong Police presence at and around the event, so if you drink drive you will get caught! Following is a schedule of most relevant buses after the event. The ones highlighted in green are able to convey you to the official afterparty at The Republic Bar.
What to bring

The Soundscape Festival is an all ages event so to avoid any hassles at the gate bring along mandatory photo ID. An array of fine Tassie food will available for purchase at the event, however please feel free to bring along snacks and a picnic rug if you wish. Most importantly, bring good vibes, love and respect!
